Engraving in Alaior
My artistic practice is centred on the need to penetrate one's own memory, to unravel it and give it value as a form of conservation and care; to connect through my works with old and present emotions, some of which I seek to preserve, to prevent them from being erased, others used as a form of burning, to show them and then forget them. To subtract the symbols of my childhood, to know what has marked me, what I carry with me and what gives me security and power. I often rely on women's bodies, on my mother, my grandmother and my sisters; on that animal that screams, resists, nourishes, creates, paralyses, runs or confronts.
